Marsh did not play a regular season game for Alaska, but having played eight ECHL games for Reading earlier in the campaign, was eligible for the postseason and scored in his second game with the club, helping the Aces take a commanding 3-1 series lead at Utah in the opening round.

He was acquired in a trade with the Royals March 4 in exchange for Erik Felde. Spent just eight games with the Royals before being loaned to Chicago (AHL) November 17. Marsh’s only goal of the season turned out to be the game-winner for the Wolves on December 21 against Rockford.

Marsh played three years of major junior hockey in Vancouver (WHL) before turning pro. He served as team captain for the Giants in 2002-03 and finished his Vancouver tenure with 55 points (8g-47a) and 330 penalty minutes in 204 games. Tyson also served as an assistant captain for Columbia in 2006-07.
