Tuzzolino, who attended Providence's 2009 training camp, scored six goals and assisted on 21 others in 61 games for the Aces last season while finishing +2 and racking up 134 minutes in penalties.


Originally a seventh-round draft choice of the New York Islanders in 2005, Tuzzolino spent his rookie campaign in 2007-08 with the Flint Generals of the International Hockey League, ranking third among IHL blue-liners with 34 assists and 44 points while appearing in all 76 scheduled games. He ranked second among league defensemen with seven power play goals and 23 power play assists. Tuzzolino grew up in Buffalo and played four years of major junior hockey in Lincoln (Neb.) in the USHL and with Sarnia and Sudbury in the OHL before turning pro at the end of the 2006-07 season with the Fort Wayne Comets, at that time members of the UHL (now IHL). His best junior campaign came in 2005-06, when he scored 10 goals and assisted on 28 others in 63 games while splitting the year with Sarnia and Sudbury.
