Green has been a familiar name to Alaska hockey fans since 2001, when enrolled at UAA and eventually captained the Seawolves. His rookie professional season ended at Sullivan Arena, when as a member of the Las Vegas Wranglers, he saw his club beaten in triple overtime in Game Six by an Aces squad that would go on to claim the Kelly Cup. The 2008-09 season will be his third in an Alaska sweater, having been acquired two years ago in an offseason trade with Reading in exchange for the rights to forward Justin Bourne (who broke his jaw in a game at Sullivan Arena while playing for Idaho). Both of Green’s goals that year came against Victoria; he was limited to 18 games last season due to injury. Green gutted out 61 games during the 2007-08 season, most of which were played despite an assortment of injuries. He scored both of his goals against Victoria and had three assists to go along with 78 penalty minutes. Lee spent most of his first two professional campaigns with Las Vegas after his four-year stint at UAA. He captained the Seawolves during the 2003-04 season and finished with eight goals and 10 assists in 137 college games.
