Evan was acquired along with the ECHL rights to Mike Walsh in exchange for Lance Galbraith Dec. 27.

Including his rookie year, when he appeared in six playoff games for Flint (IHL, one assist, 21 PIM), Kotsopoulos has yet to finish a season with the team for whom  he started the year.  Evan spent four years in the OHL before enrolling at the University of Western Ontario for the 2005-06 season, when he managed 17 points (5g-12a) in 20 CIS games.  His OHL stops included Guelph, Oshawa, and Kingston, and he completed his major junior career with 51 goals, 90 assists, and 406 PIM in 249 games.  Kotsopoulos averaged nearly a point per game (18-47-65 in 66 GP) with 131 PIM in his final season of juniors (2004-05) prior to enrolling at UWO.
