Miller earned a starting nod at the 2008 ECHL All-Star Game in his first year with the Aces, but did not play in the contest after suffering a season-ending injury at Victoria just before Christmas. He registered his first career hat trick earlier that season, against Fresno on November 16, 2007. Miller played four years at Boston University between 2001-05, leading all Terrier defensemen in scoring in both his sophomore and senior seasons, and finished his collegiate career with 88 points (20g-68a) in 153 games. Miller will be entering his third season with the Aces, having spent his first two pro campaigns in the New Jersey Devils organization, serving stints in Albany (AHL), Lowell (AHL) and Trenton (ECHL). He established new career-highs in all major categories last season, appearing in 70 games (including nine in the AHL) and racking up 42 points, all but two in his 61 games for the Aces. He was one of 12 Aces to reach double digits in goals (finishing with 10) and turned in a solid +3 rating. Miller added 11 points (1g-10a) in 21 playoff games, helping Alaska reach Game 7 of the Kelly Cup Finals
