Rivermen Announce Clear Day List

The Peoria Rivermen, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the St. Louis Blues, have announced to their 2009-10 Clear Day roster. It is comprised of the maximum 20 players and two goaltenders. According to AHL by-laws, only those players listed on a team’s Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remainder of the 2009-10 AHL regular season and in the 2010 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension. The Peoria Rivermen had seven chances on the power play Wednesday night but converted just once in a 3-2 loss to the Texas Stars at Cedar Park Center. The Rivermen held leads of 1-0 and 2-1 but Aaron Gagnon’s goal at 5:26 of the third broke a 2-2 tie to send his team to victory. A 15-year-old attendance record fell on Saturday night as the 10,129 fans watched the Peoria Rivermen defeat the Lake Erie Monsters 3-1 at Carver Arena. The previous attendance record for professional hockey in Peoria was 9,427 set back on March 4, 1995.
