ACES ANNOUNCE 2012-2013 SEASON SCHEDULE

The two-time defending Brabham Cup Champion Alaska Aces will open next season on the road for just the third time in ECHL franchise history, the club announced Wednesday morning. The Aces and ECHL joined in a league-wide release, announcing the dates for the complete 2012-2013 ECHL regular season. The Aces will begin the season on the road on Friday, October 12 against the Colorado Eagles in Loveland, CO. ACES SEASON ENDS WITH 3-1 LOSS IN GAME 5

The Alaska Aces scene came to a close on Wednesday night at the hands of a 3-1 Game 5 loss to the Las Vegas Wranglers at Sullivan Arena. The Wranglers won the best-of-seven series 4-1 and won their second conference championship in franchise history. Alaska’s Kelly Cup defense was stopped in the Conference Finals for the second time in as many attempts. ACES DROP GAME FOUR 3-2, TRAIL SERIES 3-1

Another fast start for the Las Vegas turned into more problems for the Alaska Aces in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals at Sullivan Arena on Tuesday night. Las Vegas rode a pair of first period goals to a 3-2 win, extending their lead in the best-of-seven series to 3-1. The defending Kelly Cup Champion Aces now have their backs against the wall and face elimination, beginning Wednesday night. Game 5 is Wednesday at 7:15pm and tickets are on sale now.
