ACES GAIN SPLIT IN BOISE, PLAY HOST TO STOCKTON NEXT WEEK
BOISE, Idaho -- Lance Galbraith scored 48 seconds into the game and Alaska avenged its loss from the night before with a 6-1 rout of Idaho in front of 4,283 Friday at Qwest Arena.
All three games will be broadcast live on KFQD 750 AM.
Galbraith's goal on Friday night, set up by Alexandre Imbeault, triggered a three-goal outburst in the game's first ten minutes. Mazzolini scored back-to-back goals to push the Aces ahead 3-0 at 9:31 of the opening period, his ninth and 10th goals over his last nine games. Lammers scored the only goal of the second period at 4:12, and increased the margin to 5-0 with his 11th goal in 10 games with the Aces this year just 37 seconds into the final period.
Mark Derlago broke up Sebastian Dahm's shutout bid with a tip-in at 7:03 of the third period, but Boguniecki quickly answered, capping the scoring 66 seconds later off the rush, assisted by Scott Burt. Dahm finished with 25 saves to improve his personal record to 6-5. Alaska out-shot its opponent for only the third time in 22 games (35-26).
