ACES FIGHT FOR 5-4 WIN OVER CONDORS

The much-anticipated rematch between the Alaska Aces and Bakersfield Condors lived up to the billing on Friday night as the Aces held on for a 5-4 win in a fight-filled affair.  Exactly two weeks after the clubs engaged in a physically taxing game in Bakersfield, the Aces exacted revenge as the teams combined for 214 penalty minutes, and a line brawl at the final buzzer.  Wes Goldie led all players with two goals, and Craig Gaudet’s first pro goal stood as the game winner as the Aces won their second straight and took the first game of this weekend’s three-game series.  The A [READ MORE]

BRANDON COCCIMIGLIO SIGNED BY ACES

The Alaska Aces have signed forward, Brandon Coccimiglio (pronounced KOCH-ih-MILL-ee-oh) to an Amateur Try-out Agreement (ATO), Head Coach Brent Thompson announced on Friday.  Coccimiglio has played in two pro games this season, after playing collegiate hockey at Mercyhurst.  The Aces host the Bakersfield Condors on Friday in the first of three straight games between the clubs this weekend.  Tickets are available for all three games.  Fans can visit the Aces at their Facebook page for more information, or call the Aces at 907.258.ACES.    [READ MORE]

ACES CROWN SALMON KINGS 6-1

The Aces emphatically broke out of their losing skid and scoring slump on Saturday night with a six-goal outpouring and 6-1 win over the Victoria Salmon Kings from the Sullivan Arena.  Six different Aces found the back of the net, and Alaska notched four power play goals in the victory.  The Aces head into the ECHL All-Star Break with a 22-15-2 record, and the highest winning percentage in the Mountain Division.  Alaska will now take a week-long hiatus during the ECHL All-Star Break, and return to action on Friday night to begin a three-game set against the All-Star Host, Bak [READ MORE]

ACES FALL TO SALMON KINGS 4-1

Former Aces forward Ryan MacMurchy had two goals and goaltender David Shantz stopped 27 of 28 shots to lead the Victoria Salmon Kings past the Alaska Aces 4-1 on Friday night from the Sullivan Arena.  The Aces fell to 21-15-2 on the year, and saw their 11-game home point streak come to a close.  The Aces have lost a season-long, six straight games, and will look to exact revenge on Saturday night in a rematch with the Salmon Kings. ACES ACQUIRE RUEGSEGGER FROM GRIZZLIES

ETHAN COX RETURNED TO ACES FROM PEORIA
