John Ramage’s first career multi-goal game and Olivier Roy’s 18 saves boosted the Alaska Aces in a 3-1 victory over the Las Vegas Wranglers in Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals before 4,239 fans at Sullivan Arena on Saturday. The Aces, who seized a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series (first accomplished since the 2011 Kelly Cup Finals), scored three unanswered goals while earning their 42nd win on home ice, lifetime in the Kelly Cup Playoffs. The Alaska Aces return to play with Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinal against the Las Vegas Wranglers at Sullivan Arena. The matchup is the fifth all-time between the two teams in the postseason, meeting for the first time since the 2012 Conference Finals. The Aces are 11-10 lifetime in postseason play vs. Las Vegas and went 11-2-0 this season in the head-to-head series.

Nick Mazzolini had three points and Jordan Morrison buried two goals to help the Alaska Aces cruise to a 5-1 victory over the Las Vegas Wranglers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals before 4,197 fans at Sullivan Arena on Friday. The Alaska Aces open the 2014 Kelly Cup Playoffs with Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinal against the Las Vegas Wranglers at Sullivan Arena. The matchup is the fifth all-time between the two teams in the postseason and they will meet for the first time since the 2012 Conference Finals. ACES ANNOUNCE PLAYOFF ROSTER

The Alaska Aces, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League, announced the club's roster for the 2013-14 Kelly Cup Playoffs which includes 19 skaters and two goaltenders.

Defensemen Kane Lafranchise and Zach Davies, currently skating in the American Hockey League with the Abbotsford Heat, were placed on the Aces "playoff eligible" list.

The Alaska Aces, in conjunction with the ECHL, announced today that Aces forward Peter Sivak has been named recipient of the AMI Graphics Plus Performer of the Year award for the 2013-14 ECHL regular season. Sivak, 32, finished the season at +49, leading the league with the highest rating which is tied for third in the ECHL, all-time with Steve Poapst (Hampton Roads) in 1992-93 and Kim Maier (Knoxville) in 1995-96. Alex Hudson’s game winning goal with 31.9 seconds left in regulation helped the Colorado Eagles sneak by the Alaska Aces (45-19-7, 97 points), 3-2 before a sellout crowd of 5,289 at Budweiser Events Center on Saturday. In a game that had no meaning for the Aces in the standings, they finished 6-2-2 on the 10-game road trip and earned multi point games from Peter Sivak, Andy Taranto and Evan Trupp. Goaltender Aaron Crandall had 27 saves in his regular season finale. The Alaska Aces end the 2013-14 regular season tonight with the conclusion of a ten game road trip against the Colorado Eagles after securing their fourth consecutive Brabham Cup title last evening. The Aces defeated the Eagles, 5-0 to hand Colorado its first shutout loss at home for the season. The Alaska Aces (45-18-7, 97 points) scored three times in the first period while goaltender Gerald Coleman earned his second shutout of the season, clinching the Brabham Cup for the top regular season record in a 5-0 blowout victory over the Colorado Eagles before a sellout crowd of 5,289 at Budweiser Events Center on Friday. The Alaska Aces, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League, announced that veteran forward Peter Sivak has been named to the All-ECHL First Team for 2013-14 as determined in a vote by the league’s coaches, broadcasters, media relations directors and members of the media. Sivak, 32, leads the Aces and is second in league scoring with 79 points (29g-50a) in 65 games. SETTLING IN THE SHOOTOUT

Nick Mazzolini and Peter Sivak helped the Alaska Aces (44-19-7, 95 points) rally from a two goal deficit in the third period but Dustin Butler’s stop on Jordan Morrison in the eighth round helped the Colorado Eagles send the Aces to a 5-4 shootout defeat at Budweiser Events Center on Wednesday. Mazzolini tied his season high with four points while Andy Taranto also chipped in with a first period goal on the game’s first shot. Richard, 25, is tied for second among ECHL rookie defensemen in scoring with 30 points (6g-24a) in 59 games and is third among rookies in plus-minus (+21).
