HOMECOMING: ACES SIGN SUMMERHAYS, CURRIER

The Alaska Aces, three-time Kelly Cup champions, have signed rookie free agent goaltender Steve Summerhays and forward Tyler Currier, head coach Rob Murray announced today. Summerhays, a product of the University of Notre Dame and Currier, who played at the University of Alaska-Anchorage, both grew up in Anchorage and attended A.J. Dimond High School. (TSX: NLN), the leading enabler and provider of live and on-demand content to Internet-connected devices, to create a new digital service for all live and on-demand ECHL games. The service will be available on multiple devices, including PCs and iOS devices.

The Alaska Aces, three-time Kelly Cup champions, and head coach Rob Murray announced today that the team has agreed to terms with rookie forward Ridge Garbutt and rookie defenseman Mike Slowikowski. “Ridge and Mike were two highly recommended players who showed tremendous development in a nationally ranked program under head coach Gary Heenan,” said Murray. “Ridge’s speed and nose for the net were qualities that often drew attention of the opposing defense.
