ACES CLOSE INCREDIBLE HOME STAND WITH 6-3 WIN

The Alaska Aces completed their season-long home stand the way the spent most of it – by winning. Dan Kissel scored a pair of goals to lead five Aces who scored in a 6-3 win over the Idaho Steelheads on Saturday night at Sullivan Arena. STREAKING ACES STOPPED BY STEELHEADS 4-2

For the first time in over a month, and just the second time in over two months, the Alaska Aces played a hockey and did not earn points after a 4-2 loss to the Idaho Steelheads on Friday night at Sullivan Arena. Jacob Cepis had two goals, including the tie-breaking, game-winning goal in the third period. That was enough to erase a two-goal night from Alaska’s Wes Goldie. DEFENSEMAN BENN OLSON ASSIGNED TO ALASKA

Defenseman Benn Olson has been assigned to the Alaska Aces from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League, Aces Head Coach Rob Murray announced on Thursday. Olson is a fourth year pro, who has split his career between the AHL and ECHL. [READ MORE]
