ACES FIGHT FOR 4-2 GAME 5 WIN TO STAY ALIVE IN PLAYOFFS

Facing elimination in Game 5 on Sunday night, the Alaska Aces scored three third period goals and earned a 4-2 come-from-behind win over the Stockton Thunder to keep their season alive and force the series back to Anchorage. Netminder Gerald Coleman anchored the Aces who got key goals from Nick Mazzolini, Alex Imbeault, and Alex Hudson to fight off elimination. Andrew Clark scored 13:03 into overtime to provide the Stockton Thunder with their latest comeback win, and hand the Alaska Aces a 2-1 Game 4 loss on Friday night from Stockton Arena. The Aces lost their second straight game on the road, and third straight of the series, and now trail the best-of-seven, Western Conference Semifinals 3-1. Matt Bergland had two goals and an assist and was part of a first period assault the helped the Stockton Thunder beat the Alaska Aces 5-3 on Thursday night in Game Three of the Western Conference Semifinals from Stockton Arena. The Thunder now lead the best-of-seven series 2-1. Alaska is now trailing in a series for the first time in the 2013 playoffs, but has a chance to even the series on Friday night.
